Education Requirements: Associate’s degree in Graphic Arts, Fine Art Design, Advertising, Marketing, or closely related field required.

Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience (B2B preferred).

Position Summary: Supports the Marketing and Business Development team through the development of new and use of existing content to communicate a professional image and clear brand guidelines, and Blattner’s unique culture. Responsible for the visual appearance of all marketing materials.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Strong engagement and collaboration with department, as well as other internal and external teams, on marketing, business development and other corporate graphic design and material.
  2. Create visual content of marketing materials for print, electronic, web and interactive (including infographics, charts, web banners, social media graphics).
  3. Create marketing material content for print and electronic (including brochures, signage, booklets, posters, business cards).
  4. Creates advertising graphics for online ads, newspapers, magazine and other print or electronic.
  5. Administers digital asset management software and coordinates use with multiple departments.
  6. Lead use of brand guidelines by internal company teams and outside vendors.
  7. Captures photography and videography on project sites and corporate office.
  8. Utilize photo and video editing software to create usable assets for company use.
  9. Video edits and production. Develops company branded video clips and extended video segments.
  10. Prepare concepts by understanding intended goals and objectives, studying information and external materials.
  11. Provide assistance with presentations and corporate engagements.
  12. Coordinates and follows up with marketing vendors to ensure projects are completed as expected and up to company standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A professional, high-level and clear understanding of all aspects on brand management from principles to application. As well as the ability to enforce such branding needs across the company.
  • Fluent understanding of design principles and elements of creative content.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud software, specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Working knowledge of video software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or other)
  • Additional graphic design software knowledge is a plus (Acrobat DC, Spark, After Effects).
  • Working knowledge of web and interactive design.
  • Knowledge of website CMS software products is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HTML and other web languages is a plus.
  • A clear understanding of social media graphic design specifications and best practices.
  • Knowledge or background in construction marketing or B2B is a plus.
  • Ability to work on and execute numerous projects simultaneously with aggressive deadlines.
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
  • The ability to create content from quantitative data for print, digital and video.
  • The ability to create marketing material from conceptual ideas and clearly communicate creative design direction with others.
  • Completes projects by coordinating with department team, company groups, outside agencies and vendors, and printers.
  • Maintains technical knowledge through professional publications, workshops, webinars and participating in professional workgroups.
