Education Requirements: A four-year degree in construction management, engineering or related field; or equivalent education or experience. AACE or PMI Certification is preferred.

Experience Requirements: One year of scheduling experience and/or construction required.

Position Summary: Supports project teams through creation, modification, and analysis of the project schedule. Leads in pricing and evaluating schedule impacts from changing conditions, including delays and acceleration. Meets and exceeds owner expectations of schedule requirements. Works with the project team to update schedule. Works with the project manager and legal to support claims.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Updates schedules, which includes working with projects to perform impact delay analysis and what-if scenarios for cost savings and value creation.
  2. Coordinates initial project controls and schedule setup, including construction indicator setup.
  3. Translates a discussion with engineers, purchasers and construction team into a logic driven schedule.
  4. Audits schedules to ensure compliance with best scheduling practices.
  5. Partners with Project Managers and project teams through managing schedules from pre-bid to post-construction, helping to proactively identify impacts.
  6. Communicates analysis to project teams and potentially owner representatives.
  7. Obtains updates from project teams on progress and status of the project.
  8. Analyzes projects critical path and creates 3-week lookaheads.
  9. Attends kick-off and close out activities.
  10. Creates or revises bid schedules as needed.


Additional Job Functions

  1. Identifies opportunities for streamlining work and reducing waste in order to improve efficiency.
  2. Performs other duties per supervisor’s discretion.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proficient with scheduling software (Primavera, Microsoft Project).

• Understanding of how to calculate and forecast costs.
• Accounting (math and record keeping).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio).
• Understands the differences between scheduling levels.
• Effective communication (oral, written, presentation, listening).
• Effective motivational, leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks.
• Occasional travel required.
