Education Requirements: Skills and knowledge of Learning and Development typically acquired through the completion of two-year post high school education or equivalent on-the-job experience.

 

Position Summary: The primary responsibility of this role is to work with the Instructional Designer to support Blattner’s employees. This includes providing training solutions for software adoption, creating eLearning and in-person training, and building onboarding and training paths. This person will support the team in equipping employees across the organization with the skills, knowledge and resources they need to be engaged and empowered to thrive in their roles.

 

Essential Job Functions

 

  1. Engages and collaborates with stakeholders, field trainers and subject matter experts to work through complex information and ambiguity to identify and create training solutions for a diverse segment of end users.
  2. Applies knowledge of adult learning theory to identify appropriate training methods based on learning styles, course content and audience location.
  3. Creates learning experiences that engage learners, enhance learning transfer of knowledge and increases retention. This includes in-person training, eLearning (Articulate 360), screen casts, user guides and Walk-Thrus using WalkMe software.
  4. Researches, evaluates and makes recommendations on training materials and methodologies.
  5. Facilitates effective training in-person and online in both group and one-on-one sessions. 
  6. Serves as the voice of the end users, keeping a field-first mindset. 
  7. Develops and implements a maintenance plan to ensure training programs remain current.
  8. Develops and implements a training measurement system to continuously improve training.
  9. Provides support and serves as a backup to other members of the Learning & Development team.

 

Additional Job Functions

 

  1. Identifies opportunities for streamlining work and reducing waste in order to improve efficiency.
  2. Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

  • Ability to work independently and create efficient processes
  • The ability to learn and troubleshoot software
  • Be familiar with adult learning theory and principles
  • Experience with Workday, PM Web, Oracle SCM, Articulate 360, WalkMe, Figma a plus
  • Occasional out-of-state travel as needed
