Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.  

Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years business analytics experience. Construction or EHS analytics experience preferred.

Position Summary:  A key resource for the Company by discovering and presenting opportunities within our environmental, health and safety data developing reports for company senior leadership to aide in decision making and performance improvement across Risk Management and the impact on the organizational key strategies.  This will be done by using superb analytical skills, being able to transform and present business data into actionable, effective, and understandable information, to drive decisions and business strategy.     

 

Essential Job Functions

  1. Utilizes data to perform creative analysis to determine potential and existing risks; information will be used to develop a strategy to reduce incident rates and exposures to improve the safety performance of the company.
  2. Provides support in identifying health and safety initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities by presenting opportunities identified within our data to the appropriate subject matter experts, senior leadership and process improvement team.
  3. Develops, implements and identifies correct data points to support incident reporting, incident investigation, corrective action tracking and final closeout.
  4. Develops and presents useful reports to support company decision making at all levels throughout the product delivery stream.
  5. Develops, implements and maintains effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with actionable information to establish goals and measure performance of the Company’s market sectors and segments safety performance.
  6. Understands corporate goals, strategy and objectives, and delivers department centric analytics that support goals.
  7. Identifies and addresses errors in data and partners with IT and the RM Business Data Analyst to correct data errors.
  8. Instructs others how to interpret and utilize department data, reports and dashboards.
  9. Maintains an understanding of construction safety practices.
  10. Completes ad hoc analysis as requested by management.

 

Additional Job Functions

  1. Works with the Risk Management Systems Administrator, Quality and LEAN to identify opportunities for streamlining work and reducing waste in order to improve efficiency.
  2. Represents Risk Management as a SME on the data analysis and safety performance opportunities.
  3. Performs additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
  4. Identifies opportunities for streamlining work and reducing waste in order to improve efficiency.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated history of a “can do” attitude of handling multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results accurately and on time.
  • Become proficient with company BI/Dashboard and reporting software.
  • Working knowledge on defining data standards and data technical requirements on behalf of the business.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook), and ERP software experience a plus.
  • Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentational).
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Proficient skills in prioritizing, organizing, being a self-starter and working independently.
  • Must have the ability to keep information confidential.
  • Occasional travel required to projects sites.
