Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.

 

Experience: Five years as a primary Intune, MDM or SCCM Administrator in a dispersed enterprise environment provisioning and deploying Windows and/or iOS devices.  Hands on experience driving enterprise endpoint strategy including OS deployment, application packaging, device policies and deployment using Intune.  Experience with Microsoft Azure, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)/ Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM) and integrating with other platforms such as Apple Business Manager.  Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role.         Experience in the following: leveraging Microsoft Active Directory GPO, SCOM, SCCM and O365 applications; scripting languages such as PowerShell, python, JSON, and Perl; mobile device management & provisioning; SQL Reporting and query writing; and software updates/patch management.

 

Position Summary:  Provides technical leadership and develops the enterprise strategy for the Endpoint Team.  This position will play a key role in how our staff experience technology at Blattner.  Responsible for end user computing technologies, automation, and scripting/coding. Researches & aligns endpoint technology hardware to business needs.  Will also be responsible for supporting infrastructure strategies and ensure alignment between enterprise architectural plans, security and the company’s endpoint environment. 

Primary Job Functions

  1. Provides technical leadership for the Endpoint Strategy Team including coaching, mentoring and reviewing work of other team members and setting appropriate expectations. 
  2. Defines strategy, roadmaps and documentation as well as takes ownership for the entire end user computing environment.
  3. Responsible for operating systems, software deployments, application packaging and scripting for end user computing devices including laptops and mobile devices in a highly mobile environment.
  4. Develops and maintains login scripts, utility scripts, and other tools using PowerShell, VBS, and other relevant programming languages.
  5. Develops and utilizes appropriate source control process for scripting and application packaging.
  6. Ensures solutions are appropriately tested and documented prior to deployment.
  7. Works with other teams to maintain patch management processes and procedures to ensure security patches, drivers, and firmware updates are applied in a timely and consistent manner.
  8. Monitors escalated endpoint incidents to provide timely problem resolution. 
  9. Works with product and service vendors to research solutions that enhances and/or optimizes the environment.
  10. Works closely with Help Desk Lead and personnel to ensure KBAs and training are current for desktop and mobile strategies in use.
  11. Manages endpoint inventory and provides team KPIs along with critical input into the annual capacity planning and budgeting process for the Endpoint Strategy Team.

Additional Job Functions

  1. Accomplishes organizational goals by exploring and investigating opportunities to add value to existing IT infrastructure for corporate and job site locations.  Stays current on IT endpoint security trends & threats.
  2. Works with Endpoint Team members to configure and automate application packages using Intune and MEM.
  3. Identifies opportunities for streamlining work and reducing waste in order to improve efficiency.
  4. Performs other duties per supervisor’s discretion.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Intune, MEM and Azure technologies.
  • Background in Windows Desktop Deployment and Management for Windows using SCCM
  • In depth knowledge of MDM access policies and profiles in an enterprise class environment. 
  • Ability to be self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision; has the drive and ability to learn new technologies and be willing to experiment.
  • Ability to work in both team and individual environments.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking abilities
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Must have the ability to keep information confidential.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours and occasionally on weekend in order to minimize impact to users, hardware and software installations and upgrades.
  • Ability to occasionally travel for implementation, training, piloting and assistance with IT related projects affecting our jobsite locations.
