Benefit Classification:  Hourly, Non-Exempt


Education Requirements:  Knowledge of computer and office skills normally acquired through the completion of two-year business school degree, or on the job experience.           

Experience Requirements:  Minimum of 1-3 years of experience performing corporate travel planning.  Experience utilizing an online travel planning software system such as Concur a plus.

Position Summary:  Provides overall travel program insights and customer service pertaining to all travel arrangements for field and office personnel. and collaborates in the planning of travel for suppliers and accounts. 

Essential Job Functions

  1. Provides customer service to all internal Blattner personnel as needed for all modes of travel and transportation.  Provides itineraries for company travelers and proactively manages itineraries for them during unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to weather conditions, delays, health, pandemics, etc.
  2. Coordinates travel arrangements (flights, cars, hotels, and parking) per travel request forms submitted by field and office personnel.
  3. Advises and coordinates travel arrangements for significant others at times & other necessary guests.
  4. Advises and coordinates travel arrangements for the annual corporate event.
  5. Develops and trains administrative assistants who assist with travel plans.
  6. Maintains reports and reporting tools to monitor spending of airline tickets, rental cars, hotels, and parking trends.  Reports findings and trends to leadership as required and/or needed.
  7. Coordinates and works with hotels to set up corporate rates.
  8. Verifies charges and properly codes established direct bills from hotels and car rental companies.
  9. Renews airline memberships.
  10. Works with upper management to enforce/maintain travel policies. Promotes travel initiatives across company.
  11. Problem solves travel conflicts and resolve to meet company needs and objectives.
  12. Manages company travel awards and credits to optimize travel expenditures.
  13. Participates and collaborates with leadership in travel supplier meetings and reviews.


Other Job Functions

  1. Identifies opportunities for streamlining work and reducing waste in order to improve efficiency
  2. Performs other duties assigned by supervisor.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Strong knowledge of travel software. Concur Travel Booking System a plus.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to multi-task travel arrangements simultaneously.
  • Ability to accurately and proficiently enter data.
  • Reliable and detail oriented.
  • Maintains company confidentiality.
  • Must have excellent customer services skills and maintains a high level of professionalism with both corporate and field employees.
  • Motivated and energetic to perform in travel role and work under minimal day-to-day direction.
