Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Certification from IBF or APICS preferred.


Experience:  5 Years of experience forecasting, demand planning or supply planning or related Supply Chain function required.


Position Summary: Responsible for translating the strategic forecast into a Supply Chain master plan, at a portfolio level, that supports and influences strategic supplier and inventory planning for materials and equipment, including plans for supply capacity, equipment investment and divestiture and technology transformations. Functions as the single point of contact for development and deployment of the Master Plan, interacting daily with internal departments (e.g. Business Development, Engineering, Estimating, etc.)  to ensure the Supply Chain is proactively planning for all forecasted opportunities.  Creates a material and equipment 5-year outlook to assist the SC team in long term planning.  



Essential Job Functions

  1. Develops, issues, controls and manages the overall Supply Chain Master Plan.
  2. Using discretion and best judgement, interprets and converts data and information from multiple sources into detailed planning tools for the Supply Chain team. Translates projected forecasts and work scopes into a high-level supply plan with timelines.
  3. Translates the business forecast in Salesforce along with additional insights from Estimating and Engineering into a Supply Chain Master Plan.  Publishes monthly & weekly plans, exceptions, analytics and historical data.
  4. Collaborates with Category Sourcing team to provide insights on opportunities, customers, markets and changes in mix to support their strategic agreements and sourcing strategies.
  5. Leads and facilitates the definition and maintenance of the Planning Bills of Material. Assigns planning bills of material and planning bills of equipment to the Master Plan detail to project future material and equipment requirements. Ensures the planning bills are updated as the forecasted opportunities move through their lifecycle.
  6. Ensures successful handoff of projects to Supply Planners as they move from forecast to a contracted project.
  7. Assists with development of the S&OP process; defining data, KPIs, analytics and cadence.
  8. Supports development, documentation, training and implementation of new system enhancements, performance standards and reporting formats.
  9. Maintains planning system, planning bills and master data integrity as well as keeping assigned documentation updated
  10. Contributes to business process definition and documentation, supporting Supply Chain performance improvement.

  • Strong MRP/ERP skills, particularly in forecasting, demand planning and supply planning.
  • Microsoft Office Skills, with focus on advanced excel.
  • Must be well organized, self-motivated and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
