WHO IS AN ASSOCIATE ESTIMATOR WITH BLATTNER?

 

As an Associate Estimator you will assist the Senior Estimator, bid captain and estimating team in gathering, calculating and compiling data for use in bid proposal estimates for one or more discipline areas. You will be involved in ensuring scope, schedule and price match.

 

IS THIS ROLE FOR YOU:

 

Are you a safety-minded individual? 

  • You will identify project safety requirements (training, PPE) in bid; you will also identify and determine JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) risks as well as include costs in the estimates.   

Do you enjoy travel?

  • We have projects all over the country!  You will visit project sites to review cost/ production reports to compare actual cost and plan to the estimate. 

Are you analytical & organized?

  • You will gather information from recently completed projects, during and after project close-out meetings and update that information in our database;  You will conduct special studies to develop and establish standard cost data as well as review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work required; contents of estimate and submittal proposal as well as critical tasks to complete the project.  Additionally, you will calculate statistical data necessary for bid: quantity take-offs, materials, labor, equipment and specialty items.

Are your relationship building skills on point?

  • In this role you will develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors and co-workers to strengthen company position as well as consult with clients, vendors, subcontractors or others to discuss, resolve issues, solicit business and formulate estimates.

 

Position Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Two years of related field experience in Renewable Energy Construction (Solar,Energy Storage/Generation and/or Wind) preferred, but not required

 

*This is a salaried/exempt level role that reports to a Senior Estimator.
