As a Product Owner you will work with a dedicated Agile Delivery Team to deliver business features.  Working with business stakeholders to prioritize requests across all business units, translating business use cases to technical stories.  The Product Owner will have a strong desire to bring real world solutions to business needs, using some of the latest industry technologies that enhance the end users experience. This position will have a strong understanding of how to bridge the worlds of business and technology. Working directly with a cross-functional product delivery team, the Product Owner will guide products from conception to launch, to sustaining usability.

  • Regularly collaborates with business end users, and subject matter experts to identify needed product enhancements, deficiencies, hurdles and challenges the department faces
  • Identifies possible solutions and analyzes products; builds out and maintains roadmaps
  • Develops and maintains a prioritized list of enhancements/features
  • Develops, coordinates, and ensures successful execution of product release/launch plan
  • Works with other Product Owners, ensures best practices across the company and new products features align with and can be fully utilized across all departments/enterprise.
  • Facilitates story writing sessions with the Delivery Team. 
  • Represents the "Voice of the End User" to IT and stakeholders, ensuring the final product meets the operational need of the end user.
  • Collects, analyzes, and summarizes product information, and educates department
  • Supports and upholds the information security goals of the company

Your Responsibilities:

  • Embrace and advocate an Agile Culture and Mindset
  • Prioritize stories and features for the Team
  • Work with the internal customers who will use your Team’s product
  • Facilitate story writing and sprint planning sessions
  • Attend daily stand-up’s
  • Work collaboratively with your Scrum Master and other Product Owners
  • Prep for PI Planning and be able to articulate your short-to-mid term vision
  • Work closely with Executive Steering committee to capture their vision
  • Be a servant leader within the Team

 

Position Minimum Requirements:

  1. Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or related degree; or combination of related work experience and education.
  2. Experience: 5+ years working experience as a Product Owner; and 3+ years agile methodology experience including agile coaching and adoption. Experience in Azure DevOps, JIRA, Microsoft TFS or comparable storyboard technologies. Previous experience as Product Owner of Salesforce or supply chain applications a plus

Other Qualifications:

  • Detail orientated person who has facilitated Agile ceremonies
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Ability to work within a cross functional technical team
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinker with a strategic vision
  • Occasional travel will be required for job site and business knowledge requirement gathering.
  • To minimize impact to the business some weekend hours maybe required during Product rollouts

 

*This is a salaried/exempt level role that reports to the Department Head.
